1. Candy AI — the one I kept coming back to
This is the app I’d hand to a friend who asked me where to start. I pushed it hard on day three, fully expecting the usual deflection, and it just… stayed with me — in character, no flinch, and then it offered to send a photo that actually matched what we’d been talking about. The voice replies sealed it. By the end of the month it was the only app that did chat, photos, and voice well enough that I never wanted to leave for another tab.

7. Janitor AI — effectively unlimited, if you’re willing
Over 100,000 characters, uncensored by default, and basically free to run at volume if you bring your own API key. It’s the most flexible app here.
What bugged me: no built-in images, and getting the good models running takes setup.
8. GirlfriendGPT — the one that actually landed a joke
I didn’t expect to laugh. It nailed callback humor — referenced something from earlier in the chat with perfect timing. That’s rare in this category. It sends in-chat photos too.
What bugged me: the photos and voice trail the leaders, and the interface feels a generation old.
A few things I wish someone had told me
- “Uncensored” is a spectrum, not a switch. Janitor AI, CrushOn.AI, and Muah AI are the most permissive. The polished apps still block clearly illegal categories — and honestly, I want them to. Any app bragging about no limits whatsoever made me trust it less, not more.
- Spend a day on the free tier before you pay. Every recommendation here has a way to test the conversation for free. Use it.
- Decide what you want first. Photos and voice? Candy AI or DreamGF. Memory? Nomi or Kindroid. Filter-free roleplay on the cheap? CrushOn or Janitor.
The part nobody likes talking about

And on privacy and age: I used a throwaway email and watched what each app wanted to know. Read the privacy policy before you sign up — check data retention and whether your chats train the model, and favor apps that take anonymous or crypto payment if discretion matters.
